This was on Basil but I know not everybody checks Basil alot, and also it wasn't all that clear and understand-able, so here's my version.
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. At the top, click on 'Tools' and go down to 'Internet Options'
3. Click on the 'Security' tab at the top of the window that pops up
4. Click 'Custom Level'
5. Scroll down until you find the heading 'Scripting'
6. Underneath 'Scripting' you should the sub-heading 'Active Scripting'
7. You'll see three options -
Disable
Enable
Prompt
8. Clicking 'disable' will
NOT ask you if you want Javascripts up or not, it will just not use Javascripts. (This disables the ad but you will also need to enable 'Active Scripting' again for things like YouTube)
9. Clicking 'prompt' will ask you if you want to enable Javascripting or not. This means when you open something like MapleStory, by clicking yes when it asks you, the ad will be visible and the whole purpose of this thread will be defeated. Clicking no will disable the ad and you're good to go.
Alright! That's all there is to it!
Just to be very clear, this
DOES NOT get rid of the ad all together.
It will just disable the ad so that all that's there in place of the ad, is a white box.
I've added this due to the fact that the ad laggs some people (I know it does for me)
